Anet van den Elzen

Eerde 1963. The artistic practice of Anet van den Elzen includes performance art, drawing, sculpture, photography and film. She also organises events related to performance art since 1992. This platform To Be Present is an initiative of Anet van den Elzen. She has shown her work internationally over 30 years. Since 1917 she lives on the isalnd of Texel and works there and in Amsterdam. She is an image maker, and works from her imagination, archetypal forms are the key to communication. The different materials and media she uses are always physical carriers of the image she wants to visualize. Her images rub and kick against reality.

The artistic leader of the Performance Foundation is Anet van den Elzen, board members are Jetty Tukker and Inge Pit.

The Performance Foundation was founded on February 22, 2000 in 's-Hertogenbosch, where Anet van den Elzen had personally organized various performance festivals until then.

The purpose of the Performance Foundation

the support and development of the performance in the broadest possible sense of the word. That is why it is important to invite as many artists as possible, which increases the opportunity for the performance artist to show his work and meet other artists. To this end, the foundation will develop concepts and make locations strong in order to demand attention for the performance.
The Performance Foundation creates a stage where the experiment is in the foreground.
The Performance Foundation investigates interfaces with other disciplines such as film, music, theatre, poetry and the visual arts.
The Performance Foundation will provide a direct cultural inspiration, impulse, to the immediate environment ('s-Hertogenbosch) and will be accessible and open to this end
