Ever since I started as a visual artist, organizing performance events and workshops in collaboration with other artists has been part of my practice. Over time, this has taken shape through various initiatives.

In 2000 I founded the Performance Foundation in 's-Hertogenbosch (now based in Amsterdam). This foundation is committed to organizing stages for performance artists.

Since 2001 I have been a member of Wolf in The Winter, a group of international performance artists who met over the years. I led the group together with Brian Catling. Brian passed away in 2022, we are working on a tribute to him. In October 2024 we will return to where we first met, De Melkfabriek in 's-Hertogenbosch.

From 2002 to 2004 I lived and worked in Madremanya, Spain. Together with Denys Blacker I initiated the cultural association Gresol and the first FEM festival. Denys has continued to develop Gresol, FEM is celebrating its 20th edition this year.

From 2009 to 2011 I was curator and organizer of a new PuntWG in the Women's Clinic of the Wilhelmina Gasthuis in Amsterdam.

To Be Present is an initiative of the Performance Foundation and was founded in Amsterdam in 2010.

Atelier de Waal is my cultural initiative on the island of Texel. It's goal is to collaborate with professional artists from the Netherlands and abroad on the island.
