The artistic leader of the Performance Foundation is Anet van den Elzen, board members are Jetty Tukker and Inge Pit.
The Performance Foundation was founded on February 22, 2000 in 's-Hertogenbosch, where Anet van den Elzen had personally organized various performance festivals until then.
The purpose of the Performance Foundation
- the support and development of the performance in the broadest possible sense of the word. That is why it is important to invite as many artists as possible, which increases the opportunity for the performance artist to show his work and meet other artists. To this end, the foundation will develop concepts and make locations strong in order to demand attention for the performance.
- The Performance Foundation creates a stage where the experiment is in the foreground.
- The Performance Foundation investigates interfaces with other disciplines such as film, music, theatre, poetry and the visual arts.
- The Performance Foundation will provide a direct cultural inspiration, impulse, to the immediate environment ('s-Hertogenbosch) and will be accessible and open to this end
