Nothing remains as it is

Now working on the final edit of my new film and preparing the sound track, soon to be recorded in Rotterda, in collaboration with Christiaan Verbeek, composer and instrumentalist.

Background:

Plans for a new movie emerged in 2020, on the island of Texel. I regularly started filming the images and performances which arose. Sometimes in collaboration with a small crew with DOP Claire Pijman. Later on I started filming myself. My desire was to film when images emerged over time, rather than working via a scenario.

The development of the plans for this new film was supported by VEVAM in 2021.
My way of film making was supported by the Mondriaan Fund in 2023.
At the end of December 2024, the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts awarded a stipend to edit the film and develop it into a first version until the start of post production. De Schepper Delft Stichting contributes financially in the creation of the soundtrack; a collaboration with Christiaan Verbeek.

Film

Documenting my performances was complicated for a long time until I was able to translate my performances to film. This way my feature film Echo the Now (63 min. produced by SNG Film Amsterdam) was created, and released in 2017.

I'm currently working on a new film, Nothing Stays the Same. This work is currently in the second editing phase, and we'll be working in the sound recording studio soon. I'm working with Christiaan Verbeek, composer and instrumentalist, on the film's music, vocals, and voice.
