The wolves in Greenland
Wolf In The Winter is a performance-artists-collective which first got together in De Melkfabriek in ’s-Hertogenbosch in 2001, the Netherlands. Brian Catling, invited by Anet van den Elzen as a guest curator, invited Denys Blacker (Es), Aaron Williamson (UK), Kirsten Norrie (Scotland), Anet van den Elzen (Nl) and Brian (UK) would perform himself as well. Later on Ralf Wendt (De) joined the group. The wolves as they were called, would travel and perform at different location, in ’s-Hertogenbosch, Stuttgart, Glasgow, Girona, Sfântu Gheorghe, Nuuk, London, Birmingham and Amsterdam. Sometimes at art-related podia and festivals and at other times in public space, always testing the boundaries of the event. They invited guest artists to perform with them and keep the blood fresh.
