To Be Present Amsterdam
The festival started on Friday afternoon with a screening of performative films in the former EYE museum in Amsterdam. With iconic films by, among others, Joseph Beuys, Ulay and Marina, Ana Mendieta, John Wood and Paul Harrison, Erszébet Baerveldt and Gordon Matta Clark. Subsequently, the first performances took place in the evening in WGKunst on the WG terrain and on Saturday evening and on Sunday afternoon namely: Scavenger (soloperformances) To The Bone (groupperformance) To Be Present (durational performances).
