During the week prior to the performance we worked on voicerecordings in De Melkfabriek in 's-Hertogenbosch. Senzeni Marasela wasn't present because she didn't get her visa to come to the Netherlands. The photographs were made by Jan Sprij.

To Be Present

Purpose of the Performance Foundation
Support and development of the performance in the broadest possible sense of the word. That is why it is important to invite as many artists as possible, to increases the opportunity for the performance artist to show work and meet other artists. Therefor the foundation will develop concepts and organise locations in order to demand attention for the performance. Experiment is an important aspect in these events as well as working together with other cultural disciplines. Her activities will take place in her direct environment.

Artistic leader: Anet van den Elzen, Board members: Jetty Tukker and Inge Pit. The Performance Foundation was founded February 22, 2000 in 's-Hertogenbosch.
